Goldfish
Never one to avoid making the same mistake twice, I made two fish with MOP bodies encased in clear. This one was encased in peridot green, same pale blue MOP underneath. It also cracked, but in a less visible way -- the cracking was catastrophic, i.e. the whole bead came apart in two pieces shortly after being removed from the kiln. However, I glued it back together with E6000 (the experimenter's friend!) and if you don't look too close it's acceptable. I think in this case I made the body too thin.
The tail fin is also a bit clumsy, but the overall fishy look is improving. I wish orange glass would stay orange long enough to make a fish, but they take long enough to made that most orange/red transparent colours would smoke and liver out before the piece was done.
