My camera just will not photograph cobalt blue. These beads are almost opaque to the human eye, pure deep cobalt blue. You can just see the glitter of the mica inside -- it is not as obvious as it is in this photo, which looks like an x-ray compared to the human-eye view. Only bright light reveals the sparkle of mica underneath the cobalt glass.
