Octopod II

Here it all comes together -- striped tentacles, octopods, and a deranged lampworker. This octopod (like all its siblings) was made with the aid of a second flame (the alcohol lamp setup shown in the Workbench gallery). I couldn't have made the tentacles this long, I don't think, without that second flame.

This bead also shows the bias of my handedness and working habits -- the legs at each end are not only different in their angle of attachment, but they all spiral around the core as you'll see in the next shot.
