Workbench Phase II

At one point I made a wooden work surface with holes drilled to hold various tools. It was not as good an idea as I thought at the time :-) It seemed very handy, having all the tools lined up in neat little peg holes. In practise it was a nuisance pulling them out at 45 degrees and putting them back in after use.

And of course, the wooden surface got burned by early marbles falling off their punties and rolling around on it. This setup lasted about 1 week.

Innovations that occurred about this time: the new torch, a Minor Burner running off house gas and a DME oxygen generator; a sawn-off section of graphite rod makes a handy "cold marver" (that disc-shaped thing sitting on the stainless marver pad to the left).

Ignore that wheel you can see under the table; that has nothing to do with glass, it's an ordinary compressor.
