Bench III Right

Here's the Right Hand End of the work bench, showing the test tube rack being quietly useful. I found the glass rods were competing with the tools for the small steel rod stand, so I got a large rod stand for just the rods and let the tools have the small one.

The mandrels with taped handles are special -- they have been filed to a pencil point and are actually micro-pontils for marbles. I have a 1/8 and a 3/32 pair here (and spares in a box), but I find the 1/8 is too big most of the time and I prefer the lighter size.

The tools: some tweezers, hemostats, needlenose pliers, a dental tool, two tungsten rakes (one straight, one bent), and the metal pontils aka pointy mandrels. The water jar is just the butt end of a wine bottle that I cut off.
