It is deuced difficult to photograph these beads, but they have a core of wound filigrana (turquoise), with a layer of v.p.a. over the top, then rolled in pixie dust (doesn't matter what colour, it's going to get cooked) and dotted. The dots are v.p.a and they are melted all the way in, displacing the dust and making "windows" through the semi-opaque surface and into the clear heart of the bead. It's a nice effect, but I had some trouble with the execution. I was so focussed on the dust effect that I was sloppy about the bead shapes.
