This is the world's most boring marble, but it should not have been. This is made of pure white MOP glass. It looks a little like a very large pearl, except that the glass got fractious and burnt at both poles, leaving bad scarred patches. So it is a "second" -- this event marked the beginning of serious difficulties with my MOP glass, and I am wondering if I had two different batches. The first lot I worked with was buttery, forgiving, and delightful to handle. The second set of rods all wanted to smoke and blister. I wonder if I can polish out the scarred areas on this marble. It is otherwise rather good.
