Here's the Free Radical, a month or two after initial construction, hauling a LOT of groceries home. There are three full bags, two of which contain a lot of canned goods, two bottles of wine, fresh juice, etc. There are also 2 cardboard cases of canned cat food and one bag with veggies, fruit, bread, etc. Also a newspaper and the U-lock stuffed in any old how, and three calendars from the stationery store.

This load was heavy enough to make the bike feel a bit odd, but it was still quite rideable. The only tricky part is situating the egg carton :-) you have to be careful that it doesn't get squashed by a strap, and that it also doesn't fly out of the bag. My solution this time was to wrap it in my polarfleece hat. Seemed to work fine.
