Here is a view from underneath the tongue. As you can see I rooted around in the parts bin and put a lock washer on this side. You can also see that the rubber skin on the block distorted as I tightened the bolt. You can bet I torqued it pretty hard, since this (and the bolts that engage the original rear dropouts) is what holds the darned thing onto the MTB frame! I was kind of suprised that this tongue did not hook under the chainstay bridge, but the instructions seemed pretty clear about it sitting on top.
