Now here you get to see the dirty secret of this marble. I contaminated it with a little angelhair of white. I can't even really tell you how this happened. Notice how the white doesn't meld in properly with the other glass -- it seems to have this problem generally. By the time I noticed that this one hot glowing orange feature was actually alien glass, it was molten in and I couldn't see any way to get it out without ruining the swirl underneath. So I left it there as a reminder to be more careful next time.
