Storage is always a challenge. When I'm not struggling with marbles, I'm still making beads. They pile up much faster than marbles -- I can fill the kiln easily in an evening with simple beads, whereas even a simple marble takes about 30 minutes. So there are rather a lot of beads around the house these days. This is what I store them in -- stacking jars. The base of each jar screws into the top of the one below. There is only one real lid, which goes on the topmost jar. These are cheap plastic, available from beading supply places like Fire Mountain. I like being able to see through them and identify beads at a glance. And yes, the L hand container is sorted by spectral order :-) Sort of. |
