| The woods on this part of the coast are lush, yet scrubby; dense, twisted, clearly marked by a struggle to survive poor soil and harsh winters with strong winds. Paths are narrow and winding as we make our way to the next beach North. The biome feels exotic after the taller, richer forests on more protected shores. |
